Played the £150 +15 super sat for the main event last night and it made 9 seats and £900 for 10th. Having already won a seat for the main event I only played it as I won a seat for the satellite in a £5 re-buy a few weeks ago.
Cardroom manager said I could have cash if I won so was happy to play versus 70 players to get a grand for a top 10 finish.
Went great early on then really struggled in the later stages and was always short stacked.
Exit hand a kick in the dangly bits. I shove UTG with 10,10 at 1k/2k/200 for 16.1k and sb calls with 7,7.
Rivers the 7 obv. So I finish 15th.
That pot would have put me back above the chip average and in with a great shout.
I was fekin annoyed with the bb (CL) who played a big part in me being called I feel.
At best the CL appeared to be totally oblivious to poker etiquette (he'd already incurred penalties and warnings earlier) as he picked his cards up blatantly to throw them whilst sb was considering the call. I think sb has a much, much tougher decision with the bb still looking like he might be interested in the hand.

Especially as the way he'd been playing he could easily have shoved with any old sh1t. He 4 bet shoved earlier with 5,3hh as "it's my favourite hand" and 3 bet shoved KQ into AA earlier when he had so many chips he didn't need to make those moves.
So IMO the sb get's lucky twice 1st he can make his decision knowing full well he will not get called by the "unpredictable" CL and then he hit's the 5% card on the river. I wouldn't mind but he did it to me before in the £300 Deepstack at DTD and he goes on to win it.
In fairness I think the call is easy to make (and correct) when the CL has effectively folded out of turn as he'd already seen me shove J,9 off from early position.
Overall I enjoyed the comp as it only cost me a few £ to play and the clock (25 minutes throughout) and 7.5k starting stack made for a decent game. I was a little sad driving home though as a "bag of sand" is always useful.
Tonight's Comp
Anyway onwards and upwards. Tonight I'm playing the £200 + £25 6 MAX NLHE.
If ever there was a game designed to test how much my aggression level and range has been increased in the last 6 months then this is it.
There will be very few locals in this so I'm expecting a much tougher time. Hopefully I run well and really get into the action.
